CHANDIGARH: A federal health-care agency that treats the sexual side effects of Viagra has approved the prescription drug.
“It was a shock,” said Chandan Noguchi, a health care expert at the Health and Human Services department of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in Detroit.
Viagra, which is sold as a pill, contains the active ingredient sildenafil, which is the generic name for the medicine.
“The FDA has no reason to believe the Viagra pill is safe for use in patients with diabetes, or women who are pregnant or may become pregnant,” said Dr. Noguchi.
The FDA has approved Viagra as the first line of treatment for a medical condition called pulmonary arterial hypertension. It is the only drug approved by the FDA for that condition.
Viagra has also been approved to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension, a condition characterized by high blood pressure in the arteries supplying the lungs.
Viagra is the only drug approved by the FDA for the treatment of the male sexual dysfunction in men.
Viagra is available without a prescription at a 25 mg dosage for up to three months, and the generic version, sildenafil, may take six months to be approved by the FDA. Sildenafil is not approved for use in women.
The FDA approved Viagra as the first prescription drug to treat erectile dysfunction in 1998, the same year that the first drug, Pfizer’s Viagra, was approved.
The drug was designed to treat the sexual side effects of male impotence and erectile dysfunction.
According to the FDA, the drug’s side effects can include headache, flushing, indigestion, nausea, and upset stomach. More serious side effects include vision problems, hearing problems, hearing loss, and chest pain.
The FDA said that there have been no reports of severe or irreversible side effects of Viagra. In fact, more than 11,000 men in the United States were prescribed Viagra to treat their erectile dysfunction.
While the FDA has approved Viagra as a treatment for sexual dysfunction in men, the FDA has not approved it for the treatment of the male sexual dysfunction in women.
Viagra has also been approved to treat the sexual side effects of men who are taking certain drugs for erectile dysfunction.
“We know from clinical trials and studies that Viagra is effective for a variety of reasons,” said Dr.
In a statement, the FDA said it was working to address “the increasing evidence that Viagra may not be safe and effective for use in patients with cardiovascular diseases, such as heart disease, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol.

It is not the time for all men to ‘get up’. That was one of the more recent trends in the UK.
But now men may have the option to purchase the little blue pill for £1, from Boots.
A recent survey of over one million men in the UK found that 70 per cent preferred taking the blue pill to ‘go with the flow’. The results show that 50 per cent of those who take the blue pill experience ‘low’ or ‘normal’ erectile function at some point in their lives, compared to just 10 per cent of men who do not.
The drug, known generically as sildenafil, works by increasing blood flow to the penis, helping men achieve and maintain an erection. It is taken as needed before sexual activity, but is available in both tablet and capsule form.
In the survey, the most common erectile dysfunction (ED) complaints were ‘low’ or ‘normal’ erections, and ‘nearly complete’ erections, which may indicate a problem with your body’s response to sexual stimulation.
Boots will now be offering a free trial of the drug for up to 18 months. The company is set to release the results on Monday 20 February, giving men who are eligible for the trial a full month to review and be able to choose whether to take the blue pill.
The free trial will be available to men who are in the UK or who have had an experience with Viagra (sildenafil) before. All men will need to be 18 years and over and not have any previous history of erectile dysfunction.
Boots’s new product, called the Cenforce 100, is also being developed as a treatment for ‘male sexual arousal disorder’, or ED.
“Erectile dysfunction is often the first sign that a man is in the mood to start enjoying sex,” said Boots Chief Medical Officer Dr Andrew Green. “However, it can be difficult to know what the correct response will be for men in the bedroom. That is where we are today.”
Boots has launched a trial for men who have tried Viagra. If a man finds they do not respond to treatment they will be issued with a free trial. A further one million men will be able to try the drug, which is currently in a phase IIb clinical trial in Europe.
The men taking the Cenforce 100 will be given a free 30-minute consultation, with the first dose of sildenafil taken at least 2 hours prior to sexual activity. Men taking sildenafil will not be offered the pill if they have erectile dysfunction.
This will enable men to make a decision as to whether they would like to take the drug before sex.
Men can expect to be able to take the pill in the following scenarios:
A further two scenarios will be possible depending on what the man’s overall health is. Men who have had a heart attack or a stroke and those who are taking nitrates or nitroglycerin will be given the chance to try the pill.
“For most men, Viagra can be very effective,” Dr Green said. “However, there is a risk that they might have a higher risk of erectile dysfunction, especially in the elderly or men who are taking nitrates, because their blood pressure may drop and they are likely to have more side effects.”
The men in the survey who would like to be given the option to take the pill are able to make a decision as to whether they would prefer to take it. A further one million men will be able to try the drug.
